Nu Art is a sculpture park owned by Nyoman Nuarta, one of the most popular sculptor in Indonesia. Opened in 2000, Nu Art exhibits his works from earlier career until current works. His most popular sculpture is Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) in Bali which still on going until now.
As you enter the parking lot you will see some of his works already! You can see it everywhere. Don’t forget to purchase the entrance ticket at the ticket counter at the lobby. At the lobby you will be ‘welcomed’ with two of GWK sculpture in different material.

Amazing isn’t it?
Both of GWK with 1:20 scale. The real GWK in Bali is huge! The last time I went there few years ago to Bali, it was still the bottom part which is the garuda.

Tarian Daun a.k.a Dancing Leaves (2011). Made from Brass & Copper
From the most sculpture in the lobby, I love the one above. It was not stated the name but I can understand clearly the message from the sculpture.
Let’s go to the next floor! (First floor was meant for temporary exhibition but that day it was closed, so we go to second floor)

Cumulonimbus (2013), made from copper mesh

Mokhsa (2015), copper & brass
This is ‘Nightmare’ exhibit in the center of the exhibition. You can see it from the void highlighted with the spotlights. I think this is one of his main work. It is made from steel.

My home (2002), copper & brass
GWK is picturing of Lord Wisnu, the source of wisdom, riding on the back of the Garuda. It describes the human’s efforts to keep their life in the harmony of nature. The GWK in Bali will reach 121 meters when it’s completed. The wings span will be 64 meters wide.
After done exploring the indoor gallery, the door leads us to the backyard where it exhibits some other sculptures and they have restaurant, and a multipurpose hall which was still under construction.

Gentle Giant (1994), copper & brass
Alright, I think that’s a very long story from me >_< ! Don’t forget to grab a coffee at the Copper & Brass cafe at the first floor!
