When I heard of ‘Chinatown’ what came to my mind is a long road full of chinese shops, restaurants, souvenir shops and other things like in Malaysia or Singapore. But Bandung’s Chinatown is different. It’s a one stop place where you can find all inside. Mostly foods but you also can find souvenir shop inside.
You needed to purchase entrance ticket before you enter. It costs Rp 20,000 / person with free Chinatown keychain. But inside, all transaction must be done with Flazz card, it’s like a debit card that launched from BCA. If you don’t have it, don’t worry. You can purchase the card with the credits inside at the counter right after the entrance.
On your left, after the entrance you can see the chinatown museum. It tells about some history of chinese culture in Indonesia.
I’d say everything here is so instagramable, there are just so many photo spots or corners!
Don’t forget to fill your tummy with foods here, not only chinese food but also local foods. Enjoy the cold breeze with sitting at the outdoor area.
I love how they decorate and design this place to look like the small city in Hongkong or China. Well I never been there before but it feels like what I see in movies. :p You can rent the chinese traditional clothes too and the photographer will help you to take photo.
The big wall here had been the most intagramable spot where I can see many people stop by and spend their time to do some poses. I don’t want to wait for them because they really took their time to take photos (a.k.a they dominate the area haha). So I sat the tricycle or becak in Indonesia instead.
They have some indoor photo spots too.
Both of these dimsum costs Rp 51,000. Quite expensive for me. I prefer to eat dimsum at chinese restaurant.
The parking here is quite small, so expect your vehicle to be park at the road side or in front of other shops.
