Winter, the coldest season of the year and also has shorter daytime. As the sun goes down and the sky gets darker, the temperature is getting colder. Everybody starts to leave Kiyomizu-dera as it closed at 6PM.
Me and Mr. F try to find a place to sit down and warm our body. Some street food kiosks had been closed when we went down. Left some small restaurants by the roadside. We found a candy shop which serves udon as their main course. We did not hesitate to enter because we were feeling cold and a bowl of hot udon made us starts to drool. :9
It was not so crowded so we could get our seat freely. There were some locals still wearing yukata and getting their dinner. We ordered udon set that come with a bowl of rice. I think we were so starving. Haha
Mr. F knows me so well! He ordered a wagashi (japanese traditional dessert) which is a green tea mochi. Yum yum~ :9 It came with the sauce (don’t ask me the name, it was delicious!) It was worth to try!
Before left the area, we went around to see some souvenirs.
That’s all from me about Kiyomizu-dera. I read some reviews about Kiyomizu-dera that some tourists actually prefer to pass to visit or regret to come here. Most of the comment was that this place was overly crowded with tourists that actually they expected the temple area will be in peace and zen. What do you think? Will you still come here to visit?
