Café Kitsuné just a few minutes walk from Blue Bottle Aoyama. They were back to business after the New Year holiday! Shall we?
Café Kitsuné with its japanese bamboo wall as the entrance corridor lead to the cafe inside. It’s located inside the small alley in Minami Aoyama area. Just like Blue Bottle, it’s not located at the main road but you need to walk in the middle of alley with cafes, restaurants, hair salons, and international fashion boutiques.
As I made the order, the cashier staff told me that we could not sit there unless my ‘friend’ (Mr F) also make any purchase. Well, since we won’t spend more money, we just do the take away and took some photos and go for other place.
They sells ‘Kitsuné Morning’ sets from 09.00 – 13.00. A French set meal comes with a cup of coffee.
The interior was not big, but there are many seats inside nearby the counter. It was not as spacious as Blue Bottle but it was warm. I did not took many photos of the interior as I’m afraid it will annoyed the local visitors. You know, Japanese don’t like their faces inside strangers’ photos.
While Blue Bottle has modern style interior with bare concrete walls, Café Kitsuné combines the modern and traditional Japanese ambiance. Kitsuné, means fox in Japanese as their logo too. They also have a kitsuné-shaped cookie.
Matcha latte, I love the bitterness that they produced (¥680)
The information that I know is the cafe runs by Maison Kitsuné Paris. It was opened in 2013, located not far from the first Maison Kitsuné opened in Japan.
