Me and Hachiko Statue

Hachiko statue, the iconic statue in Shibuya. As a memorial for an Akita breed dog that faithfully waited for his master nearby Shibuya station. It would leave the house to greet the master on the way back home everyday. In 1925, its master died while teaching in the university. Since then, for 9 years, Hachiko still waited for its master everyday at the same time of the train that the master commuted. Then Hachiko died in 1935.

Now Hachiko statue is common as the meeting point for among Japanese.
